Gouache and the Ghoul

Somewhere between sweeping corners and reanimating my favorite Halloween decor, I decided to paint with only gouache. Saint of Patience, deliver me. There's a fine line between a matte finish and.. mud. I'm not sure which side I'm on.
Either way, the spikes look okay. Let it dry, don't you dare - wet on wet will make it tear.
